SUPERVISORY MANAGEMENT ANALYST
Summary This position is part of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. Responsibilities As a SUPERVISORY MANAGEMENT ANALYST at the GS-0343-15 some of your typical work assignments may include: Provides lead oversight of four highly-diverse, geographically dispersed Departments with over 1000 military, government civilian, and contract personnel and an approximate $160M budget. Assists the SES-2 Director in implementing key responsibilities required as a key Combat Support Agency Directorate, including the review of operational plans, deployment of Agency capabilities, and planning, programming and budgeting sufficient resources to execute operational missions. Exercises full authority to act on issues pertaining to the Directorate's offices and functions throughout the Agency. Manages all aspects of daily operations and the management and direction of staff on behalf of the Director. Responsible for planning, initiation, direction, and coordination for the Directorate. Serves as the advisor and oversees the management of the Directorate's policies, programs, procedures, personnel, equipment, space, manpower and funding needs. Supervises a team of operations specialists to lead and enable the directorate in coordinating the planning and application of data analysis, operational and deployed capabilities, global partnerships, and security and counterintelligence services to enable the U.S. Government and international allies to conduct military operations to deter strategic attack, counter weapons of mass destruction, and set the conditions to prevail against WMD-armed adversaries in crisis and through conflict. Operates on-site most days a week in a fast-paced, dynamic environment across multiple DTRA facilities, other DTRA and DOD organizations, and with the U.S. inter-agency, foreign partners, and allies. Invests in relationships with mission implementers at all levels. Requires financial management, manpower leadership, political savvy, problem solving, coalition building, and assiduous attention to detail. Requires forward thinking, strategic planning, and methods to ensure accountability. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications You may qualify at the GS-15, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service: Experience executing and communicating a wide array of highly specialized topics within the counter weapons of mass destruction community. Experience managing a diverse organization and workforce utilizing a wide array of communications, writing, motivational, and organizational effectiveness tools. Experience with the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution processes. Experience with manpower systems, processes, and actions. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Education Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
