SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN/CUSTSPT)
Summary This position is located in the Headquarters (HQ), Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA), Information Technology Group, Technology Enhancement Directorate, Customer Support Services Division, Enterprise Service Branch. Responsibilities Translates over-arching business goals into specific objectives, assigns work to subordinates based on priorities, and ensures the accomplishment of mission and functions. Explains performance expectations to employees, provides regular feedback and ensures consistency and equity in rating techniques. Responsible for overseeing hands-on Information Technology (IT) customer support services to area/field offices throughout the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA). Responsible for managing all aspects of the lifecycle management program including the on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and testing of all IT hardware, software and peripherals. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications You must meet the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) qualifications for series 2210 and additional requirements by the announcement closing date. Experience: One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level. Experience can be under other Federal service pay systems, private sector, or military. Examples of qualifying experience include: Develop long-range plans for IT security systems that anticipate, identify, evaluate, mitigate, and minimize risks associated with IT systems vulnerabilities. Develops specifications for proposals for the procurement of new and/or revised Information Technology (IT) solutions or services. Manages all aspects of the lifecycle management program including the on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and testing of all IT hardware, software and peripherals. Assigns work to subordinates based on priorities, and ensures the accomplishment of mission and functions. You will receive credit for all relevant qualifying experience (paid and unpaid), including volunteer work done through National Service program (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
