Supervisory Financial Management Specialist
Summary About the Position: As a Supervisory Financial Management Specialist you will be overseeing all financial management operations and automated systems for the organization; and supervising subordinate personnel and their work. This position is located at HQ US FORSCOM in Fort Liberty, North Carolina. Responsibilities Oversees command activities to ensure fiscal integrity and to prevent fraud, waste, abuse or mismanagement of fiscal resources. Staffs and executes the Army's General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) helpdesk requirements for the Forces Command and Direct Reporting Units (DRUs). Exercises administrative and technical supervision over a diverse staff of professional, administrative and technical personnel. Develop performance standards and evaluates work performance of subordinates. Offers advice, counsel, or instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters. Consults with specialists on training needs and decides on training programs related to subordinates supervised. Provides monthly and quarterly financial status reports to management. Analyzes and researches existing financial management requirements and procedures and regulatory reports ensuring financial data integrity. Assists with a smooth Fiscal Year end closeout with HQDA, Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army (DASA), DFAS and Corps by monitoring all trouble errors and answering customer inquiries. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which include overseeing financial management operations and the modifications and improvements of automated systems supporting financial management functions; AND analyzing and researching existing financial management requirements and procedures to ensure financial data integrity. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Financial Management Financial Management Analysis Human Resources Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). Applicants must meet all eligibility requirements and minimum qualification requirements prescribed by OPM within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
