Additionally, the supervisor will monitor, action, and escalate incidents to achieve agreed service levels, request and update quotations for corrective works, issue purchase orders, and administer remedial work order submissions.
The candidate should be aware of commercial requirements on the contract, update and respond to audits, and develop a good understanding of core applications like MAXIMO and Coupa, as well as the facilities management services provided to customers. They will handle immediate business-critical remedial work order submissions, keep up to date with contract changes, resolve customer issues, and be aware of the business continuity plan. The role also involves attending training and meetings, ensuring supply chain contractors observe JSP 375 requirements, and working closely with the Mobile Authorised Persons team to ensure compliance. The supervisor will support the Helpdesk in responding to requests for professional and technical advice and maintain close working relationships with the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) and end users.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to solve problems and make decisions, proactive performance management skills, and experience in planning, directing, and controlling activities. They should be able to influence and negotiate effective delivery within the remit of the FDIS Mitie contract, possess excellent administration skills, and be highly organized with good attention to detail. The candidate should be able to work on their own initiative, manage their workload, and have relevant experience in a similar role. Competence in using Microsoft Office, especially Excel, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and familiarity with construction, civil engineering, or facilities management are essential. Experience in Legionella management is highly desirable, but training can be provided. The candidate should also have experience managing internal multi-skilled service delivery teams.
Training and qualifications required include an NVQ level qualification in Building and Civil Engineering or a related discipline, or significant relevant experience, and a management level qualification in Health & Safety and Environment (e.g., SMSTS). The role offers benefits that suit your lifestyle, including entitlement to a company electric vehicle (EV).
