**Come work at a place where innovation and teamwork come together to support the most exciting missions in the world!** **Job Title:** Supervisor - Respiratory Therapy **Cost Center:** 451561284 RLHos-Respiratory Therapy **Scheduled Weekly Hours:** 36 **Employee Type:** Regular **Work Shift:** 12-hour day shifts, variable days (United States of America) **Job Description:** **JOB SUMMARY** The Respiratory Therapy Supervisor supports leadership with the management of staff and day-to-day operations within child or adult respiratory therapy. The individual will function as a respiratory therapist, specializing in child or adult respiratory therapy, to deliver inpatient and outpatient respiratory therapy services to our patients. The Respiratory Therapy Supervisor will assume the responsibility for the development and provision of respiratory therapy under the direction of physicians and administration of the Marshfield Clinic Health System (MCHS). In this role, the individual is accountable to deliver established goals, utilizes good judgment to assess and escalate situations when warranted and utilizes knowledge and skills in the area of expertise while maintaining expected quality standards. The individual must act as a healthcare leader by building constructive relationships and by supporting department leadership in developing, setting and executing department goals and the strategic plan in accordance with Marshfield Clinic Health System’s mission statement. **JOB QUALIFICATIONS** **EDUCATION** _For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation._ **Minimum Required:** Associate degree in respiratory care. **Preferred/Optional:** Bachelor’s degree in respiratory care, business or management. **EXPERIENCE** **Minimum Required:** Five years’ experience in respiratory care, to include experience in the technical function of the role hired within, as outlined below. Two years in a leadership role that demonstrated personal leadership effectiveness and teambuilding strategies. + Adult Respiratory Therapy: experience in providing adult respiratory care, including geriatric care. + Child Respiratory Therapy: experience in providing pediatric respiratory care, including neonatal care. **Preferred/Optional:** Two years supervisory or management experience in respiratory care. **CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES** _The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position._ **Minimum Required:** + Applicable State Respiratory Care Practitioner license. + Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). + Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association. + Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) awarded by the American Heart Association within one year of hire. + Child Respiratory Therapy: + Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) awarded by the American Heart Association within one year of hire. Neonatal/Pediatric Specialty (NPS) credential awarded through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). **Preferred/Optional:** + Adult Respiratory Therapy: Adult Critical Care Specialty (ACCCS) credential awarded through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). + Child Respiratory Therapy: Neonatal/Pediatric Specialty (NPS) credential awarded through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
