Supervisor - Radiology Diagnostic - Hamilton, NJ - Full-TimeReq #:0000188380 Category:Radiology and Imaging Status:Full-Time Shift:Day Facility:RWJ Hamilton Department:Radiology Diagnostic Location: RWJUH Hamilton Hospital, One Hamilton Health Place, Hamilton, NJ 08619 Job Overview: Under the direction of the Radiology Director, the Radiology Supervisor is responsible for planning and overseeing all operational aspects and activities for assigned sections/modalities, locations and support areas, While the range of duties and responsibilities is broad and varied, the major responsibilities are supervising all day-to-day operations including the delivery of care, patient satisfaction, human resource management, equipment oversight and process improvement activities, In addition to daily supervision, this individual will participate in planning efforts involving space, equipment, staff, systems, services, supplies, budgeting and financial management and future programs and services, The Supervisor is a positive, effective member of the Radiology/Medical Imaging management team, fostering a customer/patient focused perspective and ensuring a strong commitment to organizational service standards, Qualifications: Required: + High School graduate. + Completion of an approved Radiology Technology program that meets the requirements set by the ARRT and the NJ State DEP Must be licensed by the NJ State DEP and the ARRT. + Five years experience as a staff technologist. + CT registry eligible within 6 months of of employment. + One to two years experience as a staff technologist including at least one year of CT experience. Scheduling Requirements: + Days to work + FT/PD Essential Functions: + Consistently plans and administers all technical and personnel aspects to maximize equipment and staff productivity. + Seeks and promotes new methods to reduce costs and improve efficiency. + Manages the interpersonal relations of the department, including team building, problem solving and the exchanging of information with leadership. + Trains and maintains orientation competency on all new hires within 30 days of date of hire. + Participates in committees and tasks forces as asked. + Produces Diagnostic procedures in an efficient cost-effective manner. + Maintains documentation according to Policy and Procedure. + Run s Open orders and Charges out incomplete exams daily. + Day Logs for Pacs. Daily Orders supplies as needed. + Checks all supplies for expiration dates monthly. + Directs activities towards full compliance and accreditation with NJ Sate DEP and TJC. + Enforces staff to use A.I.D.E.T Follows up on issues in a timely manner. + Maintains documentation and write ups on issues with personnel. Reviews charts, scripts and referrals and orders with all correct pertinent information. Assist Radiologists and Surgeons as needed. Explains all procedures to patients.
