Position Objective:
The Supervisor patient services is responsible for overseeing the day- to- day operations of the food and nutrition Patient service staff ensuring timely delivery of patient orders.
This position has authority to perform supervisory duties including but not limited to hiring, evaluating performance, issuing final disciplinary actions under the review of Human Resources, and recommending discharge in collaboration with members of management and Human Resources

Essential Job Duties:

Plans schedules and supervises the daily activities of staff.Makes daily rounds in the morning to assess what has to be done for the day.Records any lateness or absence of employees and conducts disciplinary action if appropriate.Monitors attendance issues, staff changes, and disciplinary issues and report them to the ManagerEnsures trays are assembled according to guidelines.Trains new employees how to complete all patient trays to be compliant with dietary restrictions and then monitor trays for accuracy, compliance and completion.Responds to patients for any service recovery issues that may arise.Reports all equipment not working to the proper source for repairs. Ensures that all equipment is being used properly by staff. Monitors staff also while using equipment to make sure they are following safety guidelines.Conducts meetings with staff on a regular basis to address equipment functions, update equipment information, address patient satisfaction issues, and discuss changes or problems as they occur. Conducts daily huddle.Conducts employee hiring process including position review, interviewing and selection.Educational/Experience Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.Three to five years of experience in a food service settingExperience supervising or leading preferred.RequiredLicense/Certifications:
