Supervisor of Quality

Position Purpose

The Supervisor of Quality is responsible for the day-to-day management of the quality department.

Nature and Scope

The Supervisor of Quality is responsible for the management of the inter-disciplinary clinical quality improvement program including but not limited to:

Supervising the Quality Department staff to meet the organizations quality and safety goals.

Supporting leadership and various clinical teams with the collection, aggregation, analysis, and reporting of data used in decision-making for clinical care improvements.

Oversees progress of quality improvement projects. Reports any difficulties with progress to leadership.

Analyzes patient care information from data sources. Identifies real or potential concerns and oversees development of recommendations to correct or prevent concerns.

Prepares and creates succinct and comprehensive reports detailing quality improvement activities, including periodic reporting of organizational performance data.

Oversees adherence to regulatory standards for quality improvement. Acts as a resource for quality improvement information.

Collaborates with leaders to develop and implement the organizations quality and patient safety plans.

Organizes and staff's key strategic QI initiatives.

Facilitates, develops, and implement special projects as assigned.

Monitor quality measurement and improvement activities, including methods to track implementation of action plans following site surveys and critical events reviews.

This position does not provide patient care.

Minimum Qualifications

Description

Education:

Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English. A bachelors degree in nursing, pharmacy or other health related field required. A masters degree in a clinical or healthcare related field preferred.

Experience:

Three years of healthcare leadership experience preferred. Experience with progressive responsibility and three years in quality improvement/patient safety management required. Knowledge of clinical performance improvement methodologies and JC and CMS state/federal regulations. Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare operations.

License(s):

Ability to obtain and maintain a valid State of Nevada driver's license and ability to pass Renown Health's Department of Motor Vehicle Report criteria.

Certification(s):

Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred.

Computer / Typing:

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and Word and have the ability to use the computer for online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
