Supervisor I, Delivery & Install
POSITION PROFILE
Responsible for the scheduling and delivery of equipment to customers in a timely manner. Supervises 10 or more delivery personnel and/or multiple delivery locations. Ensures DOT and state law compliance. Manages the processes, people, and assets utilized in fulfilling customer orders for equipment, including warehousing, delivery, and reverse logistics.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical:
Trains delivery personnel in loading, unloading, and installation of equipment. Schedules and routes delivery trucks daily according to customer requests. Communicates special needs and requests to delivery drivers. Ensures equipment is configured according to the pick ticket/sales order. Ensures all paperwork is processed accurately and completely. Communicates issues to the configuration center manager/transportation manager. Ensures the delivery fleet is safe to operate and compliant with all DOT and state laws. Maintains delivery vehicles and develops a preventive maintenance schedule. Schedules and communicates with third-party delivery companies. Ensures delivery times are met and correct equipment is shipped out. Responsible for safe and proper loading/receipt of equipment being shipped to remote transfer center locations and/or configuration centers. Assists with the creation of processes and procedures to ensure the success of the operation. Works in conjunction with the inventory control manager to monitor the quality of inventory and assist in maintaining appropriate levels. Performs and ensures performance evaluations are given on a timely basis. Works closely with other functional areas to ensure external and internal customer needs are met. Manages transfer center expenses and meets budget guidelines. Establishes and tracks performance measurements for areas within the transfer center and manages to the appropriate metric requirements. Responsible for the on-time delivery of equipment to customers. Identifies customer needs and determines appropriate action; refers calls to the appropriate party. Supports various multiple channels. May be required to be certified on the operation and use of warehouse equipment, i.e., forklift, stair climber, etc. Effectively recruits, interviews, and selects staff. Coaches, mentors, and provides advice and guidance to staff on employee development and performance-related matters. Ensures compliance with equipment inventory policies and procedures within the transfer centers. Routinely demonstrates and creates a helpful and positive work culture. Encourages and builds positive relationships and communicates effectively with all co-workers and outside vendors. Conducts themselves at all times in accordance with Ricoh's code of ethics. Performs other duties as assigned. Limited scope of authority within pre-established specific policies, procedures, and guidelines. Incumbent actions may impact some adjacent units and the immediate work unit.QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Certifications):
High school diploma or equivalent education is required. Three to five years of supervisory and management experience in the transportation/delivery industry are required. General knowledge of computerized routing systems and handling hazardous material is required. Good systems knowledge and computer skills are required. Familiarity with local carrier routes and standard trucking industry practices and procedures is preferred. Eligibility to drive a commercial vehicle according to FMCSR regulations is a plus.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Work is mostly sedentary but does require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting, or carrying objects that typically weigh less than 10 lbs. (e.g., papers, books, files, and small parts, etc.).
