Supervisor Food Service - Full Time

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Directs and monitors the preparation and distribution of food and nutrition services and assists in overall department operations.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists in steps necessary relative to hiring, evaluating, coaching, promoting and disciplining employees by following established HR policies. (15%)Directs daily work flow of department to maintain productivity and to ensure that time schedules are met. (30%)Maintains food safety and sanitation standards according to departmental and regulatory agency requirements. (20%)Monitors the quality and attractiveness of food served to patients and/or cafeteria and special functions to assure that it meets departmental standards. Responds to and resolves customer/patient issues. (15%)Reconciles money, computes transactions, replenishes cash, and banks daily receipts. (10%)Assists in cafeteria menu and special event planning and execution. (10%)Perform other duties as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

4 years food service experience

Preferred

Associate's Degree in related fieldExperience in a healthcare settingFood Safety CertificationManagement experience
