Supervisor Fleet Maintenance

What we need:
Mohawk is looking for a strategic leader to join us as Supervisor Fleet Maintenance. This role will oversee performance and operational safety of all company-owned tractors and trailers, as well as manage Mohawk’s tractor and trailer shops located in Dalton and Calhoun, GA.
The Supervisor, Fleet Maintenance will also develop and lead strategic initiatives to reduce maintenance cost and improve efficiency through use of analysis and improved technology.
What you’ll do:
Manage the day-to-day operation of Mohawk tractor and trailer shops including: Planning, coordinating, scheduling and overseeing vehicle maintenance work Ensuring compliance of all FMCSA, DOT and EPA regulations Oversee parts ordering and procurement process Develop and execute plan for priority repair process and PM scheduling that utilizes fleet downtime to support efficient transportation operations Make and/or approve decisions regarding repair or tow and accident investigations Use historical data, analysis and personal experience to make informed decisions to improve overall maintenance operation Assist with purchase of new company assets Lead a diverse team, including hiring, developing and discipling employees when necessary Provide leadership with areas of improvement based on analysis of planned versus actual cost, CPM cost, etc.
What you have:
High school diploma or equivalent College or trade school in fleet maintenance, transportation, or a related field (preferred) 4+ years of experience with fleet management and diesel maintenance Extensive knowledge of FMSCA, DOT and EPA regulations The ability to present and explain technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others and gains understanding
