Supervisor - Employment
DescriptionEssential Duties And Responsibilities include the following: Other duties may be assigned. Ensures compliance with company, State, and Federal policies, procedures, and regulations. Communicates regularly with the Director of Human Resources about department issues. Demonstrates flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload. Reviews and makes recommendations to Director of Human Resources for improvement of procedures, and practices on employment matters. Works directly with department directors to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on employment matters. Recommends, evaluates, and participates in Staff Development. Participates on committee’s and special projects and seeks additional responsibilities. Supervisory Responsibilities

Assists employees in the Employment, Reception, Licensing and Training. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems in the Employment area.

Education And/Or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skill

Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from employees, regulatory agencies Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

Additional Duties/ Job Dimensions

Regular attendance in conformance with standards, which may be established by Bally’s Shreveport from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to Bally’s Shreveport Attendance Policy. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property. This includes all shifts, weekends and holiday periods
