In this role, you will lead and coach a team engaged in advanced default resolution tactics including post charge-off recovery efforts for loan and depository products including, but not limited to: credit cards, mortgages, auto, student and personal loans. Provides supervision of daily default resolution tactics pertaining to vehicle repossession and liquidation, bankruptcy, foreclosure, REO liquidation and collections litigation. Ensures the team members are compliant with policies, procedures, laws and regulations. Responsible for driving employee development and performance management by monitoring, motivating, recognizing and coaching the team in order to enhance job performance. 

 

Responsibilities Conduct portfolio reviews to ensure proper loss prevention or loss mitigation tactics are administeredSubmit charge-off recommendations for management review and approvalRecommend appropriate tools, data and tactics to be used in execution of loss mitigation strategiesServe as an escalation point for solving complex issues relating to high risk of loss or legal actionAudit team member’s work to ensure quality standards are maintained and departmental procedures are current, followed, and aligned with enterprise policy and ensure departmental service level agreements are achievedDevelop and produce reports to minimize risk and maintain compliance in addition to generating reports that provide insight and enhance business outcomesIdentify continuous operational improvement opportunities and service efficiency initiatives; recommend solutions, and champion the implementation of agreed upon changesRemain current on industry trends and implement best practices that result in improved performanceSupport the operational implementation of new products and enhancements to existing products/channelsPlans, oversees and leads the work of the team to meet functional and individual operational objectives and goals. Coach, mentor, and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities. Responsible for hire, fire, performance, discipline and problem resolution decisionsManage and monitor third party collection partners Education:Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance or related - Minimum Years of Experience:5 Years in Default Resolution or Related - Minimum3 Years in Auditing calls/conducting account reviews, first and/or third-party collections or related - Preferred1 Year in People Management - PreferredKnowledge of vehicle repossession, liquidation, post charge-off recovery remedies, bankruptcy law, lender’s rights and creditor obligations according, but not limited to UDAAP, FDCPA, FCRA, CFPB, TCPA and UCC In Lieu of Education:8 Years in Default Resolution including People Management

 

Compensation & Benefits:

Typical hiring range:‏‏‎ ‎$67,100‏‏‎ ‎-‏‏‎ ‎$94,750 Annually. Actual compensation will be determined using factors such as experience, skills & knowledge.
