The Role
As a Deal Desk Supervisor, you will act as a trusted advisor to the Sales Organization with everything Deal Desk related, essentially providing various pricing techniques and strategies to ensure competitive and profitable company pricing targets. You will also support in testing and enhancement of systems and tools to help streamline and automate the quoting process. As a leader, you will scale the team for business growth and provide daily guidance to your direct team of analysts. This position is a prime opportunity for someone looking to grow their career as an entry level people leader, while working directly with a broad range of organizational stakeholders in finance, sales and product organizations.
Your day-to-day
Be a primary contact for both the internal Deals Desk and Sales team, as well as a point of escalation for all topics relating to quoting and pricing approvals. Provide guidance and support to direct team members for growth and development. Review, approve and escalate quotes within the CPQ tool, as needed.Ongoing/ Projects
Drive communication with cross-functional departments that may have a direct impact on quoting to ensure audit, company guidelines and expectations are followed. Manage and track quotes to ensure the team’s standard SLAs are met. To scale business growth and train analysts. Ensure updates are effectively communicated within internal and external teams. Upkeep Salesforce Reports and Dashboard. Review Team Territory Assignment to scale and optimize operations. Identify areas of improvement and possible solutions. Hands on developing SOPs and maintenance of resources. Partake in system and tool enhancement to streamline processes. Complete side projects to help meet department overall goals, as needed.What you bring to the team
Self-motivated with a knack for being detail oriented while in a high-pressure environment Strong people/customer service skills Ability to think outside the box, while understanding and enforcing standard pricing strategies Basic understanding of revenue and auditing requirements Excellent analytical skills and enjoys working with numbers Solid MS Office and Computer skills – knowing how to create formulas in Excel a plus Experience with leveraging Salesforce as quoting and CRM database. People Management Experience a plus Bachelor’s Degree or experience in Order Entry, Sales Operations, Deals Desk or Pricing AnalystWhy Proofpoint
