About this job:
The Brewery Supervisor will be crucial in ensuring smooth operations at our main Cold Brew production hub. You’ll oversee daily operations, maintain facility standards, and ensure quality from brewing to packaging. Leading the team, you’ll focus on improving efficiency, inventory management, and team training, while collaborating with regional teams to drive excellence. In the near term, you’ll set goals for safety, quality, and efficiency. In the long term, you’ll help scale systems to support growth in Northern California. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to Blue Bottle’s future growth by developing a world-class team and facility. This is a full-time, exempt role based in our Berkeley location.You will:Oversee all brewery activities at Berkeley, leading a talented production team. Implement systemic improvements to ease workload and clarify complex scenarios. Develop scalable production strategies, processes, and systems to drive costs down while maintaining quality. Collaborate with regional teams to build strong partnerships and support team success. Create and maintain production plans, engaging cross-company stakeholders to ensure output matches customer demand. Calculate labor needs, hire, schedule, train, manage, and develop a production-excellence team.Review and update SOPs and best practices for consistency. Monitor inventory levels, update reorder points, and quantities as needed. Measure performance, identify KPIs, and develop continuous improvement strategies. Oversee equipment calibration and maintenance, ensuring top performance for output needs. Ensure safety processes and strict adherence to state labor regulations. Define and sustain production processes and quality standards, providing tools and support for accurate, timely, and high-quality products. Collaborate with the Food Safety team to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and food safety rules. Advocate for brewing and packaging through observation, instruction, and committed study.You are:An experienced leader of people who empowers and trusts your team delegates responsibility, and finds teaching moments to continuously grow and improve your team’s skills.Empathetic and hospitable, always eager to listen, understand, learn,n and field questions for your team and coworkers.
