Supervisor, Ambulatory Pharmacist
We are so glad you are interested in joining Sutter Health! **Organization:** SMF-Sutter Med Foundation- Central **Position Overview:** Provide supervision to clinical pharmacist and supporting staff in anticoagulation medication management under Collaborative Practice Agreement with providers. The Supervisor is expected to have direct patient care responsibilities to manage warfarin, enoxaparin and other anticoagulation medications used in the ambulatory setting. The Supervisor is responsible for maintaining current policies and procedures and ensuring compliance with applicable internal and external regulations. This position is responsible for identifying operational barriers to effective provision of services, seeking resolution and for providing services in an efficient and cost-effective manner. **Job Description** : **EDUCATION:** + Doctorate: Professional Doctorate in Pharmacy **CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:** + PHARMD-Licensed Pharmacist **TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:** + 5 years of recent relevant experience. **SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:** + Strong foundation of clinical assessment skills necessary to provide ICM ICT recommendations for clients with highly complex medical, emotional and social needs. + Effective oral and written communication and negotiation skills in conflict laden situations, skillfully balancing competing demands without alienating others. + Critical thinking and problem solving skills necessary to develop creative solutions and achieve desired results. + Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work diplomatically with a wide variety of people. Ability to work effectively as a team leader, guiding the actions of others in order to accomplish team objectives. + Strong organization and time management skills to work effectively in a fast paced environment with rapidly shifting priorities and competing demands. + Ability to exercise sound judgment in order to make independent decisions in situations where guidelines are not established and/or seek consultation when decisions would represent significant departure from organization objectives. + Ability to communicate in Spanish, Russian or Asian language is helpful, but not required. + Ability to provide assigned standby coverage, flex hours to handle urgent situations and work weekends and other shifts as assigned. + PC skills, word processing, spreadsheets and data base programs knowledge and expertise. **Job Shift:** Days **Schedule:** Full Time **Shift Hours:** 8 **Days of the Week:** Monday - Friday, Variable **Weekend Requirements:** Rotating Weekends **Benefits:** Yes **Unions:** No **Position Status:** Non-Exempt **Weekly Hours:** 40 **Employee Status:** Regular Sutter Health is an equal opportunity employer EOE/M/F/Disability/Veterans.
