Job Description

The Producer is responsible for the oversight of all aspects of production, beginning with concept creation up until final asset delivery. This person will need to understand schedules, budgeting, and the necessary roles needed to produce content, and have an understanding of what costs need to be accounted for in a production. This role requires knowledge of production, particularly post-production, event production, and augmented reality.

When a request comes in the Producer determines the level of effort, develops a detailed project timeline, and provides high level costs. Once the concept is approved, the Producer continues his/her work in pre-production, by sourcing director options, managing talent auditions and bookings, and making sure all aspects of the production remain on track and within budget prior to the day of the shoot. During the shoot, the producer wears many hats. They will ensure the production is on track and running smoothly, ensure the right content is being captured, while also balancing the needs of the client.

Production success is defined not only as on time and on budget, but meeting client business requirements in a way that demonstrates creativity. As such, strong critical thinking will be required to react to the unknown as well as a collaborative approach to problem-solving. Once all footage is captured, the project moves into post-production. The producer will oversee the edit, animation, color session, and sound mix to ensure delivery of premium content that aligns with the client’s requests. This person will need to understand asset rights, usage, and music licensing, in order to ensure those assets are licensed correctly.

Responsibilities:

 Sound and responsible production management and planning related to all facets of productionProper and innovative execution of work in all areas on scheduleHave an overall knowledge of pre-production, production, and post- production.Develop workable LOEs (Level of Effort), work plans and realistic timetables.Review, analyze, and evaluate the work, relative to the client’s needs and objectives: all assigned creative projects, internal agency projects and assigned new business projects. Defining project scope, estimate and technical specifications, works with account and project management team in the creation of project specifications and time plans. Educates account team and clients and manages their needs and expectations as they relate to production.Determines project risk on an ongoing basis, escalates issues as needed. Foreseeing concerns and complication, troubleshooting on the fly, and setting expectations with necessary parties accordingly.Creates and maintains well-established relationships with vendors and talent agents.Evaluates best team makeup and specific staff for assigned projects.Works with outside vendors when needed for a production.Has knowledge of talent and voice over handling.Keeps project status reports up to date and communicates to all relevant department leads – account, project management, legal, business affairs, cost consultants, and the client.Works with the design team on each account to consolidate stock needs and usage requirements and submit to art buying for quotes and to give the OK for final purchase based on budget.Monitors stock purchases with art buying and ensuring business affairs has all necessary documentation for tracking.

Qualifications 5+ years of production experienceInterest in and aptitude for producing creative and marketing solutionsKnowledge and passion for broadcast production, digital / social production and post-productionKnowledge of the script and storyboard process.Knowledge of SAG/AFTRA Union Codes and rates. Knowledge of voice over and talent costs for different terms and how to negotiate.Knowledge of on-set handling and management of video shoots.Knowledge of production equipment.Knowledge of post production programs and workflows (Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop and Cinema 4D).Well versed in executing campaigns across multiple platformsSelf-motivated and willing to expand knowledgeAbility to self-manage while managing assigned teams and projects under tight deadlines.Ability to Multitask within various projects and at the same time maintain a satisfactory standing with employer demands.

Additional Information

Compensation Range: $65-100/HR. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
