The Role

As a Superintendent with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience.

The Craft Superintendent reports directly to the SCM or CM and his role is to supervise, coordinate, and schedule construction work activities in one or more construction disciplines (Civil & Structural, Mechanical & Piping, Electrical & Instrumentations) in conformance with plans, quality specifications, schedules and cost estimates. In cooperation with the Dicipline Supervisors, monitoring the activities of contractors and subcontractors performing craftwork, ensuring compliance with project quality, safety, and security requirements. Ensuring that subordinates are trained on and aware of specifications, work procedures, standards and all related Quality documents and that this material is being utilized to ensure optimum efficiency, and that work must be performed in conformance with specified quality requirements.            Maintains effective schedule and cost control of craft personnel with the assistance of the Discipline supervisors.            In cooperation with the CM, manages the CWP on the project. Reviews work packages with craft supervisors and gives instruction relative to the methods and procedures to be used as well as desired results.            Ensuring that work is planned to ensure that design drawings, tools, equipment, and materials are available when needed.             Responsible for safety of supervised personnel; ensures that craft personnel comply with established safety policies and procedures, and that they practice safe work habits.          Ensure generation of a 3WLA ahead plan by Contarctor by using the 3 Month Lookahead scheduke and verify that this is in accordance with overall project schedule.            Ensure conformity of all discipline material upon receipt against discipline Specification and ensures that materials are stored and maintained in adequate conditions. Ensure monitoring of the management of materials and spare parts. Review work front, progress and resource (manpower and materials) deployment against plan on regular basis with Senior Supervisors for timely completion of work against schedule. Identify potential threats to safety, quality and progress of work; recommend mitigating measures to CM and site management and follow up for action. Initiate the preparation for the pre-commissioning operation in close coordination with CM, QC Inspectors and discipline Construction Supervisors that correct forms are signed off and that filing of completed forms is done correctly for easy access by Turnover Department.          Responsible for investigating, collating and analyzing information to assist in the audits facilitated by the clients.          In coordination with CM, plans and strategize the work sequencing and work planning for the overall discipline scope (mechanical, civil, piping, electrical, etc.) based on the 3 Month Lookahead Plan, Overall project execution plan and strategy. Controls change/scope creep, ensuring that all scope changes are quickly and properly documented, and that change orders are approved prior to the performance of work. *

About You

To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes\:

Job Specific Knowledge\: Sound and hands on experience on construction management processes, Experienced in driving HSE compliances, Sound knowledge and experience of construction quality management, planning and progress monitoring, Knowledge of the construction methods and understanding of the processes, systems and protocols applicable to Fertilizer, Oil & Gas and Chemicals Sector. Industry Specific Experience\:    Graduate Engineers with minimum 15 years of experience and should have handled/successfully completed one project as Superintendent in Fertilizer, Oil & Gas or Chemicals Sector. Should have experience with working in a consultant company. Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training\: Graduate in Engineering in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical, Instrumentation Engineering HSE Capability\: Knowledge of safe methods of execution of construction activities and experienced in driving HSE compliances. IT Skills\: Proficient in MS Office People Skills\: Leadership skills, Team Player     Other\: Adaptable, open towards learning and development, person of integrity
