**Job Summary**
The Supervisor, Wound Care ensures high-quality, patient-centered care by overseeing the daily operations and staffing of the Wound Care department. This role supports evidence-based clinical practices, monitors nursing care in alignment with organizational standards, and fosters a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. The Supervisor collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to achieve quality outcomes, optimize efficiency, and enhance the patient experience.
**Essential Functions**
+ Supervises daily departmental operations, ensuring efficient workflows and adherence to evidence-based clinical standards.
+ Provides leadership in implementing and maintaining best practices to enhance patient safety, care quality, and operational effectiveness.
+ Evaluates nursing care delivery, ensuring compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
+ Monitors and manages staff performance, providing coaching, feedback, and training to support professional development and improve outcomes.
+ Supports the development and implementation of strategies to elevate patient satisfaction and experience, addressing opportunities for improvement through actionable plans.
+ Manages departmental resources, including staffing, supplies, and equipment, to ensure cost efficiency and operational excellence.
+ Coordinates admissions and discharge processes to optimize patient throughput while maintaining high-quality, patient-centered care.
+ Collaborates with clinical teams to identify and address variations in practice, improving care delivery efficiency and effectiveness.
+ Tracks and reports performance metrics, analyzing data to identify trends, support decision-making, and inform quality improvement initiatives.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
+ Complies with all policies and standards.
**Qualifications**
+ Associate Degree in Nursing required
+ Bachelor's Degree In Nursing preferred
+ 2-4 years of clinical experience in wound care or a related specialty required
+ 1-2 years of prior leadership experience preferred
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
+ Strong knowledge of wound care practices, treatment modalities, and compliance standards.
+ Leadership and team management skills with the ability to mentor and develop staff.
+ Analytical skills to evaluate performance metrics and implement quality improvement initiatives.
+ Effective communication and collaboration abilities to engage with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
+ Proficiency in resource and budget management.
**Licenses and Certifications**
+ RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure required
+ BCLS - Basic Life Support required
+ CWCN - Certified Wound Care Nurse preferred or
+ WCC - Wound Care Certified preferred
