Job Summary
The Supervisor, Central Scheduler is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Central Scheduling team, ensuring that all patient appointments are scheduled efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with hospital protocols. This role ensures optimal coordination between patients, physicians, and healthcare staff while maintaining high levels of customer service. The Supervisor will manage a team of schedulers, monitor performance, provide training, and support the implementation of policies aimed at enhancing scheduling processes within the patient support services.
Essential Functions
Qualifications
Associate Degree or higher in healthcare administration, business management, or a related field preferred 2-4 years of experience in a scheduling or patient services role within a healthcare setting required 1-2 years Prior supervision and/or management preferredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, physicians, and staff. High level of organization and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Ability to work in a face-paced environment.
