EF York summer school is seeking dedicated and outgoing teachers to join our team for summer 2025. If you are passionate about shaping young minds, adept at engaging diverse groups of students, and committed to fostering cross-cultural understanding, we would love to hear from you. £615 p/w Monday – Friday + Saturday or Sunday Full-time Fixed-term contract from June – August 2025 (minimum three-week commitment) Accommodation and meals included Apply now and be part of our mission to open the world through education. Responsibilities Deliver general English and special interest courses Next to planning and teaching classes, you are also responsible for tracking attendance and attending all teacher meetings. Mark students’ work Participate in peer observation programmes Write student reports when required Act as an ambassador for EF Requirements Available to work in July 2025 TEFL or CELTA (or equivalent) qualified Excellent communication skills Sensitive to the needs of international students Confident in teaching young learners Demonstrates a high level of customer service Has strong administrative and organisational skills All offers are subject to a clear enhanced DBS check and two references Right to work in the UK at commencement of employment C2 level of English Why you will love working with EF Continuous professional development Work in a truly international environment Regular social events Ambition is nurtured and career progression opportunities are provided Staff are encouraged to innovate, take ownership of their ideas and bring them to fruition Summer camp canteen Teaching materials and curriculum provided Access to EF Hello language learning Spend summer in one of the UKs most historic and beautiful cities EF Education First – Our History and Values Career Progression at EF ----------------------------- EF is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Appropriate suitability checks will be required prior to confirmation of appointment.
