About The Software Services Unit: The Software Services Unit manages enterprise application, ERP, Oracle Applications and District's Aqua Intranet and external Valley Water website. SSU Team helps users in day-to-day tasks. We provide users with training to use the applications effectively. We support applications that are beneficial to all Employees such as Aqua, Valley Water website, Oracle APEX Employee Phone book GIS, Maximo, Infor, and many other Oracle based applications. INTERNSHIP LOCATION STATUS: This position is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule, typically working 40% remote and 60% onsite. For hybrid work, intern must perform their work in the state of California within 150 miles of their primary physical work location located in (San Jose, California) by their start date. Required License or Certificate WE LOOK FOR INTERNS WHO ARE: + Students pursuing a major in Systems Administration, Computer Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline. + Basic understanding of software development programs/programming + Basic knowledge of Java or JavaScript or Python + Basic knowledge of SQL + Willingness to learn and troubleshoot software. + Good communication, writing, and listening ability. + Customer service and teamwork experience is a plus.
