General Description:
This internship will be approximately 11 weeks and will be project based as part of the Global Commercial Supply Chain (GCSC) team. There are 5 functional areas within GCSC: planning and logistics (demand and supply), packaging engineering, CMO management/PM and system capabilities. The intern will be an integral member of the CMO management/PM team, which is focused on improving internal and external processes to support undisrupted supply and new product/new market launches. As a member of BeiGene’s GCSC organization, your work will be highly collaborative across multiple functions and levels.
Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
This position is responsible for managing projects for Global Commercial Supply Chain pertaining to planning, logistics, CMO management, launch readiness and project management.
In partnership within GCSC teams and cross functional teams such as Quality, Regulatory, CMC, Commercial, the internship project will include (but not limited to):
Collect and analyze historical logistics data on shipment changes in support of Commercial supply, product launches and projects
Perform Root Cause Analysis and identify categories of change
Develop recommendations for mitigation plans to minimize future changes
Develop future process for managing and maintaining logistics shipment data and RCA
Identify current process gaps related to system readiness for launch and create process flow for improvements
Report milestones per plan in a consistent manner to meet the project objectives
Monitor project execution and adjust plans as needed. Facilitate project communication and documentation
Collaborates with the team to resolve any issues and organizes team to execute on the corrective actions
Ensures project work complies with established practices, policies, and processes
Assist in creation of new standard operating procedures or work instructions
Competencies:
Experience in pharmaceutical project managementStrong experience in Project Management Office (PMO) processes, creating templates, and training materials
Excellent organizational skills, capable of setting priorities and managing high workload
Strong communication skills written and verbal including oral presentation skills
Ability to interact with multiple layers of the organization with demonstrated success initiating change and influencing at all levels
Understands comprehensive global pharmaceutical regulatory requirements (e.g. GMP, GDP)
Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
Strong collaboration and excellent team skills to be successful in cross-functional and multi-cultural teams
Computer Skills: In-depth knowledge and skill with Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio and other reporting/tracking tools.
Other Qualifications: Due to global nature of company early morning or evening meeting may be required.
