Interns can choose between seven departments: Executive Office, Life Enrichment (event planning and facilitation with residents), Brain Health (resident engagement, programming and outreach), Human Resources, HomeCare Business and Operations, Hospice Healthcare Administration, and Marketing & Communications. This program is 3 days a week for 8-weeks (108 hours in department, plus a kick-off event, 3 workshops and a closing celebration) beginning June 20th and culminating August 15th. Interns will be required to submit all necessary onboarding documents and attend an in-person/all-day orientation on June 10th and 11th prior to their start date. Summer Interns will receive a stipend, a resident mentor, and 2-3 professional development workshops with our leadership team. Job Requirements + Applicants must be enrolled in a college, university or certification program upon submission of an application + Ability to relate to and work with team members and their department + Creates a welcoming, friendly and adaptable environment for those they serve and work with + Be interested to work with a diverse population of older adults + Have a can-do mindset and be excited to learn about all we have to offer + Proficient with email communications and knowledge of Microsoft Office is a plus Job Duties + Follow all procedures of the host department + Engage in projects as defined by the host department + Assist in day to day task of the host department Brain Health Activities / Evaluation (i.e., Music Therapy, Art Therapy), Research and Community Outreach Executive Office Administrative Support, Volunteer Program, Internal Communications, Policy & Procedure Revision Life Enrichment Activities Coordination, Event Planning, Resident Engagement Marketing & Communications Blog Writing, Digital Marketing, Content Strategy, Brand Management and Internal Communications Business & Operation with HomeCare Presentations, Data Analysis, Program and Procedure Development, Marketing, Resident Assessments Hospice Healthcare & Administration Audits, Data Analysis, Regulatory Compliance, Resident Engagement Human Resources Employee Engagement, File Management, Shadowing HR meetings About Goodwin Living Goodwin Living has been uplifting the lives of older adults and those who care for them since 1967.
