Summer Financial Planning & Analysis Intern (hybrid)

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) projects. Projects may include budget variance analysis, forecasting or cost modeling. Analyze business processes and financial workflows to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements. Assist in data analysis and automation initiatives to streamline financial reporting. Work with cross-functional teams to optimize financial processes and improve data accuracy.

What you will learn:

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Gain experience in forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling. Business Process Optimization: Develop the ability to identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements. Data Analytics & Visualization: Strengthen skills in Excel and other analytical tools. KPI Development & Performance Tracking: Learn how to create and monitor key business metrics for decision-making. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Enhance communication skills by working with finance, operations, and IT teams. Strategic Thinking: Understand how financial insights drive business efficiency and profitability.

Experience Desired:

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle) is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities. Workflow Analysis Tools: Understanding tools like Microsoft Visio or similar for designing and analyzing workflow processes.

Educational requirements:

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. Completion of foundational accounting courses such as Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, and Corporate Finance preferred. Must be at Junior standing (or equivalent) and minimum overall G.P.A. of 3.0.
