Summer Associate - Graphic Design (Bala Cynwyd, PA or Ewing, NJ)
Description Marketing Statement: Philadelphia Insurance Companies, a member of the Tokio Marine Group, designs, markets and underwrites commercial property/casualty and professional liability insurance products for select industries. The Graphic Design team operates as a fast-paced, full-service design, development, and marketing department catering our internal clients. A successful candidate will be detail-oriented, communicates well , ambitious, and excited to learn about the graphic design and marketing field within a corporate environment. The intern will learn directly from the Sr. Graphic Designer and assignments will primarily be project-based. Some examples of projects include: + Work with mentor, fellow team members, manager, and coworkers to complete projects in a timely manner. Seek guidance and direction when needed. + Prepare and upload online graphics to Intranet and Internet sites (as instructed by Graphic Design team) + Properly update PHLY-branded material (brochures, handouts, social graphics, online files, logos, icons, banners, emails, etc.) + Regularly and consistently record design project status via Project Management System in place Qualifications + ‪Currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's degree + Proficient in using Adobe Creative Suite computer software to execute designs (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver ) + Ability to follow Corporate branding standards and guidelines strictly + Willingness to learn and utilize inbound marketing software and other marketing tools + Design skills: + Strong text-layout skills - marketing material updates, handouts, signage/posters + Infographic, Logo/Icon creation + Basic HTML for eflyer/landing page creations based on templates established + Image updates, cropping, basic adjustments to photos Knowledge of the following is a plus but not required: + Some prior experience working in digital marketing or social media + Intermediate to Advanced HTML, CSS, JavaScript + Animation/Motion graphics Basic understanding of: + Search engine optimization basics + ‪Google Adwords basics + ‪Google Analytics Program Overview/Benefits: + Program runs June 2, 2025-August 8, 2025; Monday through Friday, 8:30-5:00pm LT + Hybrid Schedule – 3 days minimum in the office/week + Participation in a team project; teams meet weekly to collaborate and prepare their final presentation which will be delivered to the leadership team at the end of the program + Attend weekly department overview presentations delivered by Senior Leadership to gain knowledge of the company and industry + Weekly meetings with your assigned mentor + On the job training within the department at the direction of the supervising manager + Volunteer opportunities + Hourly rate range $21.00-$22.00 depending on year in school + Opportunities within the program are available nationwide.
