What you’ll do
The Risk Data and Analytics (RD&A) team is part of the Risk Research and Quantitative Analysis Division at SAS. The primary product of the RD&A team is KRIS® our proprietary data service which licenses default, spread and ratings data for risk as well as investment managers on a global basis. The key to licensing the data is our ability to demonstrate use cases showing how the data provides advance warning of default or trading opportunities for portfolio managers in the fixed income and equity markets.
As an intern, you might:
Assist in researching defaults in global firms. Test for advance warning provided by KRIS® in recent public defaults. Help identify data points the provide trading signals. Work on improving data quality and process automation. Assist in developing management reporting and dashboards Participate in quantitative research activities
Required Qualifications
Students currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or Statistics Experience with statistical tools such as Python and SAS; MSFT OfficeYou’re curious, passionate, authentic, and accountable. Your past experiences demonstrate you’ll take initiative and go above and beyond the call of duty. You’re interested in the future of Analytics and embrace technology. You’re a college student enrolled in an accredited program, not graduating prior to December 2024.

Internship dates: May 20, 2025 – August 8, 2025. We can be flexible on start date if your university is on a quarter system. Internships last 12 weeks in total length.
