Description:
The selected candidate will work in the Industrial Affairs, Technical Services department and be a team member of the Plant and Process Utilities, HVAC / Building Automation System (BAS) engineering group. The scope of this internship position is diverse and covers several engineering disciplines and topics including but not limited to: Project Management, Architecture, HVAC, Electrical, Process Piping, Mechanical Piping, and Manufacturing Equipment.
The Intern will benefit from mentoring, coaching and side-by-side engagement with knowledgeable and experienced industry experts. Candidates will receive a hands-on learning experience with the opportunity to learn how projects are managed and how building systems are integrated, operate and function. The Intern will also learn how to read and interpret technical drawings, engineering specifications, and schematics; walk down systems with Subject Matter Experts to ensure compliance with the design; and observe equipment/system start-ups.
Responsibilities:
Assignments will vary based on the needs of the various projects including attendance at project meetings, issue resolution, drawing field verification, presentations, documentation organization and control, and safety compliance audits.
The candidate will be exposed to a wide variety of focus areas including Project Execution, Engineering, Construction Management, and Commissioning. The candidate will also receive all necessary Safety and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) training.
Our internship program will challenge and develop your technical, business, leadership, teamwork, and communication skills. The experience learned during the internship can be applied to future career opportunities.
Basic Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, or related field, with the expectation that you will complete your current degree by the Spring of 2027
Must be enrolled in school the semester following your internship/co-op with Sanofi.
Must be able to relocate to the office location and work 40 hrs./week for the full duration of the internship/Co-op
Must have permanent US work authorization
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), TEAMs and SharePoint.
Strong analytical, technical, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including team members and cross-functional partners.
Experience or exposure to electrical systems, HVAC engineering, and clean (e.g., purified water, steam) and dirty utilities (e.g., waste systems, non-purified water).
Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present project updates to teams and leadership.
Willing to work independently.
High level of commitment to assignments.
Experience with AutoCAD/Revit software a plus.
3.0/4.0 GPA is a minimum requirement.
Must have permanent US work authorization.
