Role Overview and Responsibilities

The HSE Intern will support the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Manager in developing and implementing initiatives that prioritize employee safety, health, and environmental stewardship. Working from our state-of-the-art clean-energy facility in Plano, TX, the intern will gain hands-on experience with HSE processes and contribute to impactful projects.

 

Under the guidance of our experienced HSE Manager, who has nearly two decades of HSE expertise, the intern will receive mentoring, training, and supervision tailored to foster professional growth and practical learning.

 

Essential Duties: 

Assist in development, implementation, and evaluation of HSE policies and procedures.Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, and processes to ensure compliance with HSE regulations.Participate in the identification and evaluation of workplace hazards and recommend appropriate control measures.Support incident investigations, including collecting and analyzing data, and identifying root causes to prevent future occurrences.Assist in development and delivery of HSE training programs for employees.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote safety initiatives and ensure HSE requirements are integrated into daily operations.Assist in the compilation and analysis of HSE data, preparing reports, and presenting findings to management.Stay up to date with current HSE regulations, permits, and records in accordance with regulatory standards.Contribute to the development and promotion of a strong safety culture by organizing safety campaigns, events, and awareness programs.Other duties as assigned. Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

Essential Qualifications

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Analytical mindset with effective problem-solving skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Initiative-driven with innovative ideas to enhance HSE processes.Strong verbal and written communication skills, essential for report preparation and presentations.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

Currently pursuing a degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Hygiene, Public Health, Environmental Science, or a related field.Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
