Overview Sugarloaf is looking for a few outgoing and knowledgeable riders to work in our resort’s Retail Snowboard location this winter. A Snowboard Shop Sales Associate provides excellent customer service and product knowledge, along with daily tasks to maintain smooth operation of the retail space. Sales Associates are excited to help each and every guest with their needs. Sugarloaf offers an array of retail outlets; Downhill Supply Company, Sugarloafer Shop, The Burton Signature Store, and The Sugarloaf Board Room (SBR). Placement in a snowboard specific location is dependent on expertise and staffing needs. Responsibilities Will be required to attain strong knowledge of Sugarloaf Resort property and surrounding area Give accurate and current information about the merchandise for all the brands carried Utilize tools and training provided by Sugarloaf to develop long term customer relationships and increased sales Maintain the Boyne Rewards sign up and loyalty program at all locations Cleaning and organizing daily to keep sales area in prime appearance Must be able to work independently and multi-task Maintain a positive, cheerful and motivated attitude at all times Apply the above standards to all phone calls and questions Attain a strong knowledge of binding repair across all brands Understand and maintain the safety procedures for use of light power tools (drills, stone grinder, heat gun) Qualifications Effective communication skills Customer service and sales skills Ability to effectively work with the sugarloaf team Attention to detail and accuracy Accurate money usage and register proficiency Self-motivated Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods; carry products and boxes up and down stairs; perform regular store maintenance; lift/reach overhead; and carry products as needed to complete store tasks Sugarloaf Team Member Benefits include: Free lift pass for skiing and/or riding (at Sugarloaf, Sunday River, and Loon Mtn) Discounts at resort F&B and retail locations Discounted ski/snowboard lessons and rentals Access to Nordic trails and discounted equipment rentals at our Outdoor Center location Discounted passes at other Boyne and partner resorts Eligibility for end of season loyalty bonus
