Substitute Student Support Aide

Ignite Education Solutions is hiring a Substitute Student Support Aide to work in a School Districts in Cambria County.

Hours are based on school district schedules.

What are the duties and responsibilities?

Assist Students with Activities of Daily Living:

Help students with personal hygiene tasks, including toileting, grooming, and dressing. Support students in mobility and transferring as needed.

Provide Physical and Emotional Support:

Assist students with physical disabilities in moving around the school, classrooms, and other facilities. Offer emotional support and encouragement to students facing challenges.

Implement Individualized Care Plans:

 

Follow individual care plans developed in collaboration with teachers, school nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Ensure that the unique needs of each student are met.

Support in the Classroom:

Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to facilitate students' participation in classroom activities. Assist with instructional materials and adaptive equipment as required.

Communication:

Maintain open communication with teachers, parents, and school staff regarding students' progress and any concerns. Attend meetings with the educational team to discuss and update care plans.

      Promote Independence:

Encourage and empower students to develop and maintain independence in daily activities whenever possible. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
