Flexibility is available for a hybrid work environment (employee will need to live within driving distance of the office). **Responsibilities** + Manage relationships with alliance clients + Perform and direct others in the detailed design of medium to extra high voltage utility substations including one-line diagrams, elementary and wiring diagrams, SCADA, communications, conduit and cable sizing/routing, substation physical layouts, selection of substation equipment, writing of substation equipment specifications, proposal development, construction cost estimates, and project scheduling + Ensure POWER quality procedures are followed + Perform QA/QC for deliverables to clients + Manage schedule, budget, and quality of assigned projects + Occasional travel will be required **Required Education/Experience** + Ability to function as a Substation Project Lead/Project Engineer in the Columbus office of our Substation Business Unit + Experience in 15kV through 138kV substation design and IEEE/ANSI standards + Experience filling the role of project lead for several projects occurring concurrently + Strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills in order to work effectively with internal team members and external client personnel + Legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship **Desired Education/Experience** + Experience in 230 kV through 500kV substation design + Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or a relevant technology + 10+ or more years experience in utility substation design is a plus + Experience in managing 3-5 people on a project team POWER Engineers, Member of WSP, is a global consulting environmental and engineering firm and one of the top design firms in the energy sector.
