We’ve got what you’re looking for. **Job Description:** **Job Description:** The Subject Matter Director – Architecture & Finishes is responsible for overseeing the successful execution of all phases of detailed design projects under their direction. The Senior Manager will ensure technical excellence in design, regulatory compliance, and on-time, within-budget project completion in alignment with contractual obligations. **What You'll Be Doing:** + Collaborate closely with the Lead Designer and/or Design Director, as well as other team members, to lead and direct the analysis, synthesis, and recommendation of conceptual design alternatives for landscape architecture projects, effectively communicating and promoting the design vision. + Review design drawings and specifications for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with project requirements.Validate design calculations and ensure all technical aspects align with industry standards. + Review and approve equipment and component submittals in coordination with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) staff. + Review and validate responses to Requests for Information (RFIs) during construction. + Approve shop drawings and construction models to ensure alignment with design intent. + Provide field architectural quality assurance (QA) during construction phases. + Support commissioning activities as required. + Liaise with Project Managers, Discipline Leads, internal and external team members, including master planners, architects, urban designers, specialists, engineers, and quantity surveyors. + Plan, program, and delegate within the team structure, while participating in workflow reporting and planning activities. + Serve as the primary point of contact with clients and client representatives, ensuring clear communication and project alignment. + Contribute to the development of technical proposals, estimating levels of effort, work plans, and schedules as needed. + Stay updated on industry trends and technologies by maintaining affiliations with professional societies and organizations. **What Required Skills You'll Bring:** + Bachelor’s degree in architecture from a recognized university. + A minimum of 20 years of experience in master planning, urban design, and execution, demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility. + Proven experience managing teams within established architecture/engineering firms or client-side organizations. + Strong leadership skills with a track record of successfully delivering projects. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
