Our Team
Our Above Water Systems team designs and engineers commercial and naval ships – as well as providing in-service support capabilities. We’re proud to bolster Australia’s sovereign capability through operational support to our Navy. The Role
As a Subcontractor Manager, you will be responsible for engaging and managing subcontractors to ensure the successful delivery of program requirements. You will work within an integrated team to develop cost-effective, high-quality, and timely solutions while maintaining contractual compliance. Your role will also involve vendor performance management, continuous improvement initiatives, and stakeholder collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the Request for Pricing (RFP) process, ensuring value-for-money solutions.
Evaluate subcontractors and allocate tasks based on cost, capability, and compliance.
Manage vendor performance to drive efficiency and continuous improvement.
Work with Procurement and Program teams to negotiate contracts and resolve disputes.
Ensure compliance with Australian Industry Content (AIC) requirements and security regulations.
Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support project success.
What You’ll Need
Qualifications in Procurement, Project Management, or a related field.
Experience in contract management, vendor negotiations, and procurement processes.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess subcontractor performance.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines.
Technical background (Electronics/Mechanical) is highly desirable.
