Subcontract Specialist II
As a Subcontract Specialist II here at Honeywell, you will support the Customer Change Control Team in the triage, creation and reconciliation of customer change orders. You will ensure change order compliance with customer contracts, company business policies, procedures, and as well, all Export/Import regulations. You will report directly to our Customer Change Control - Strategic Sourcing Manager and you will work out of either our Charlotte, NC or Mason, OH location on a Hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally with our Project Management, Legal, Estimating, and Sourcing teams to drive positive change to our project portfolio’s top-line revenue. Your expertise in subcontract management will be crucial in identifying and resolving subcontract issues and developing mutually acceptable solutions.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•   Manage all assigned customer change orders throughout the life cycle of a given project
•   Work with a sense of urgency; proactively engage with project management/legal and support lead Program Managers when dealing with matters of project scope of work, performance, and schedule change
•   Administer existing customer contracts with interaction with Legal, Program, Project, and Cost/Estimating Teams
•   Support broader Customer Change Control Team in the triage of inbound change requests, including the creation and reconciliation of change orders in our systems
•   Maintain, analyze, and update change order records and support project forecasting
•   Engage in regular communications with internal stakeholders; communicate change order status during PMR and cross-functional meetings
•   Prepare, analyze, and evaluate change orders and proposals to ensure they are compliant with company policy, program requirements, and department operating procedures
•   Respond to data calls and support all internal and external audit activities

 

YOU MUST HAVE

•   2+ years of procurement/subcontracts administration
•   Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•   Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously
•   Strong negotiation and contract management skills
•   Familiarity with Salesforce and/or a comparable CRM tool

•   Bachelor's degree or MBA preferred
•   Experience working with subcontractors during all phases of program lifecycle
•   Experience utilizing MS Office Suite, Oracle, and other business tools used in the execution of subcontracts management activities
•   Strong organizational skills
