Responsibilities:
You'll be responsible for preparing our bid packages, developing evaluation criteria, analyzing and evaluating our proposals, negotiating subcontract provisions, selecting or recommending new subcontractors, and administering our subcontracts. Additionally, you'll administer standard subcontracts agreements, such as Firm Fixed Price (FFP) and Time and Material (T&M), through the entire contract lifecycle, and will participate and lead moderate to major negotiations of terms, price, and schedule, and will monitor subcontractor performance.
Your primary role is to ensure supplier performance to SNC and its missions, meeting supplier delivery, quality, service, cost and technical requirements through the entire subcontract lifecycle.
You may support the identification and development of current and new suppliers to support Category goals, as well as monitoring, measuring and reporting supplier(s) progress. It will be important to contract appropriately, ensuring SNC protection and obligating suppliers to clearly specified requirements. You are responsible for what you buy, from whom and the corresponding results.
As a Subcontract Lead, you will work to reduce the cost and increase the value of using the preferred SNC supply base over time. You are the leader of a given subcontract, and you represent your internal teammates who have communicated this requirement. Additionally, you will:
Increasingly provide supply base expertise to SNC proposals and programs, knowing the suppliers well enough to be able to facilitate and guide cross-functional sourcing and supplier management activitiesEnsure accurate requirements are defined and understood and accepted by the supplier(s)Foster and lead supplier-related communication and relationships - information to and from the supplier will flow through youAct as the Point of Contact between SNC / Program(s) and the supply baseAs the Supply Management representative, you will own the relationship between SNC and your suppliers, even as you facilitate executive and PM interaction with these suppliersLead negotiations to include, but not limited to, deliverable requirements, terms and conditions, pricing, schedule, and milestone developmentDocument acquisitions in compliance with government regulations, company policy, and best business practices, and provide audit support as requiredTrack progress on subcontracts/POs: progress against schedule, available funding, actual and forecasted spendingIdentify risks and opportunities, and as assigned, develop risk management/mitigation plans and strategiesStatus supply base activity to programs and the SCM organizationYou are the bridge between SNC and our supply base to ensure a collaborative approach to strategic thinking and problem solving – cross collaboration both internally and externally will be expectedSupport department goals including, but not limited to: on-time delivery, negotiations, and PR processing time, to name a fewQualifications You Must Have:
