Employment Type: Permanent Staff (EHRA NF) Vacancy ID: NF0008937 Salary Range: $57,780-$66,126 Position Summary/Description: The School of Social Work ( SSW ) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks a dynamic candidate highly invested in student success to serve as Student Success Coach and oversee student advising and support efforts for the online MSW program in our nationally ranked school. The Student Success Coach will direct efforts to help students in the online MSW program identify and achieve their educational, personal, and professional goals. The Student Success Coach will be the first and main point of contact for students in the online MSW program and will guide them through the completion of their plans of study by providing curriculum advising and proactively working with students to coordinate resources and support for them within and beyond the SSW . The Student Success Coach will develop holistic advising relationships through regular meetings with students while tracking their matriculation closely and referring students to supports and resources as needed. In addition, the Student Success Coach will identify, address, and resolve complex issues related to student matriculation through collaboration with faculty, staff, administration, and offices across the SSW and UNC . The Student Success Coach will oversee and facilitate programming and activities for online MSW students such as orientation, student wellness initiatives, and graduation. Further, the Student Success Coach will lead professional development activities, advise the online MSW student organization, be responsible for identifying resources and supports for online MSW students, and serve on the Admissions Committee and other SSW and university committees as assigned. Finally, the Student Success Coach will complete additional special projects for Academic and Student Affairs as needed, such as assisting with outcome evaluations and assessments for students in the online MSW program. This EHRA Non-Faculty position will report to the Associate Dean for Student Affairs and will be part of the Academic and Student Affairs team as well as the online MSW program team. Due to the availability of students in the online MSW program, some evening and weekend hours will be required.
