ResponsibilitiesRiverview Regional Medical Center is looking for an exceptional per diem, variable shift Student Respiratory Therapist to join our Respiratory Care team. Our Respiratory Therapists work under the direction and authorization of the Medical Director and Cardiopulmonary Director/Manager. The Student RT duties include, but are not limited to:
responsible for performing respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the physicianemphasis will be toward the assessment, planning, implementation and documentation of care, with consideration of age and population specific needs and requirements of the patientthe Student Respiratory Therapist works under the direction of a registered or certified therapistthe competencies listed in sections I, II, and III will be learned as the students’ knowledge and skill level increasestrained to aid physicians in the evaluation, diagnosis, and care of patients with cardiopulmonary problems. Such patients include those with emphysema, asthma, bronchitis, pneumonia, cardiac failure, and chest trauma QualificationsEducation and Work Experience
must be approved with State Respiratory Therapy board to work as a Student Respiratory Therapistcurrent BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain currentat minimum, the student must be enrolled in an accredited respiratory program and has completed at least the first semester of clinical rotations; preferred, is a student who has completed more than one semester and/or other medical experiencehigh school diploma or equivalent, requiredwill be unable to work as a Student Respiratory Therapist if, for any reason, becomes ineligible for an accredited respiratory therapy programwe are #hiring for our #respiratorytherapist positions so #students can earn #compensation while practicing #airwaymanagment and #mechanicalventilation for #patientsafety to make #diagnosis in #respiratory #therapy
