Posting Details Position Information Job Title Student Photographer/Videographer - Fall 2024 Department Marketing Office Job Description/Duties Independently photograph or shoot video of assigned campus events and activities with a digital camera; process and upload photos. At times, assist the university staff photographer on more complex shoots. Almost all assignments will be on campus. Days/Hours Needed The position’s work schedule is flexible. Photographers and videographers will shoot one or two assignments per week. Each assignment will take 1-2 hours including preparation, shooting and processing time. Campus Location/Bldg. Brockway Hall Required Qualifications Must be a current SUNY Cortland student Strong interpersonal skills with effective verbal and written communication Preferred Qualifications Own or have use of a digital SLR or mirrorless camera. Some camera equipment is available to be borrowed Experience with photographing people for social media or publication Knowledge of composition and graphic design principles Familiarity with Adobe Lightroon or Photoshop software for photographers Familiarity with Adobe Premiere or similar software for videographers Physical Demands Physically lifting and carrying equipment. Extended periods of standing, walking or kneeling may be required during photo/video shoots. Special Conditions for Eligibility Must be able to work independently and efficiently.
