Position Availability: Position Title: Student Assistant Specialist Requisition Number: 0406073515 Location New York City Position Type: Student Department: Provost/Provost's Office Responsibilities: This role requires a high degree of independence and resourcefulness and will support the Senior Director and staff of the Center for Career Development and report directly to the Senior Director. As the first point of contact with the Center via its general inbox, you will respond to and field student inquiries.

You will assist graduate career advisors in career-related events by promoting zoom-based and in person career events as well as attending zoom-based career events to support breakout rooms, attendance, and occasional recordings. You will create short promotional videos to support the implementation and promotion of a new career platform.

Responsibilities include:

General Support First point of student engagement with graduate career services via Center inbox; able to explain process and direct students to Handshake Provide direction to graduate students wishing to meet with a graduate advisor Engage alumni who frequently email for career advising Educate, inform, and engage colleagues on the value of Center workshops having participated in sequence of career workshops; able to explain value to students. Provide informal feedback from students and serve as Center for Career Development ambassador Support the maintenance of the graduate careers microsite as needed


Promotion/Marketing:Produce event flyers, visuals and other promotional materials using utilizing Canva, InDesign or Illustrator software; able to create short promotional videos
Event Management and Assessments Support the addition of event descriptions to Handshake (career platform) Assist zoom-based workshops as required Understand zoom event recordings and data to assist with attendance Maintain and add attendance numbers for multiple assessments as directed Prepare materials for distribution including event flyers and visuals Distribute promotional materials to graduate students Add workshop and career-related events to Center shared calendar
Pay: $21 per/hour Hours: 10-15 hrs per week
