The Student Assistant(s) Research and Reporting will work under the supervision of Maria Pellerano, MA, MBA, MPH and Eric Jahn, MD as they develop and launch a social media campaign to encourage New Brunswick residents to use local public parks and green space to help improve their physical and mental well-being. This project is part of the Healthier New Brunswick (HNB) initiative, which is led by RWJMS’ Office of Community Health, New Brunswick Tomorrow, City of New Brunswick, and Johnson & Johnson. The Student Assistant(s) Research and reporting will research and report on social prescribing in the United States. This includes but is not limited to finding existing models of social prescribing, current programming encouraging individuals to access green space, and infographic and video materials to promote social prescribing through social media. Duties also may include developing scripts for infographics and videos, brainstorming ideas for original content, and supporting the Office of Community Health’s faculty and staff working on this project. This is a short-term hourly position. Work locations include remote, RWJMS offices in downtown New Brunswick, and Rutgers University Libraries.
