Job Description

Working in a Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) environment, the Structures Technician will be responsible for disassembling, repairing, fabricating parts as necessary, reassembling, installing, and documenting maintenance actions on heavy-lift helicopters, primarily Boeing CH-47 airframes (Model 107, Model 234 firefighting and heavy lift utility). This role primarily supports full rebuilds and sometimes fleet heavy maintenance checks.

ResponsibilitiesReview task cards and read and interpret maintenance manuals and blueprints.Use hand tools, power tools, and machine tools to remove, inspect, fabricate replacement parts, repair, reassemble, and document maintenance actions.Frequent removal and installation of standard and blind rivets, drilling, reaming, and riveting to close tolerances.Essential Skills4+ years of experience in aircraft sheet metal structures repair.Experience fabricating parts.Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and machine tools.Experience with CH-47 airframe structures preferred.Additional Skills & QualificationsMust be willing to submit to testing, including installing fasteners of different types, proper countersink depth, precise drilling, and measuring bend dimensions.Knowledge of Bend Allowance or Bend Deduction concepts.US Person per client ITAR regulation.Open to candidates with 1-2 years of experience if reasonably local (northern OR/southern WA).Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work in heavy lift helicopter fleet MRO and rebuild hangars. Initial schedule is a 5-day workweek (8am - 4:30pm) for several weeks, then transition to a 4-day workweek (6am - 4:30pm), either Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday.

This is a Contract position based out of Aurora, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $52.00/hr.
