Key Responsibilities:

Perform structural calculations and analysis in accordance with Australian Standards to support design projects.

Assist in preparing tender documents, including scopes, inclusions/exclusions, and estimates for design and documentation efforts.

Participate in project meetings, briefings, and discussions, sharing insights and ensuring information flows effectively.

Develop design documentation, including marking up and sketching concepts to communicate design intent clearly.

Review project drawings and documentation, identifying areas for improvement to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Skills & Experience Required:

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).

Familiarity with Australian Standards and industry guidelines for bridges, buildings, and infrastructure.

Ability to prepare and check design calculations (including self-checking) using either manual methods or with the aid of computer applications such as such as SpaceGass, RAPT and the Microsoft Office suite.

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to contribute to innovative solutions for complex challenges.

Competence in delivering work according to budget, schedule and quality requirements.

A collaborative mindset, with experience working in project teams within a consulting environment.
