Role Description:
Arcadis is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our Resilience Water team in the Midwest to support our growing portfolio of water and wastewater projects. In this role, you will lead and contribute to the design and engineering of essential infrastructure, such as treatment plant upgrades, stormwater systems, storage facilities, and pump stations.

Role Accountabilities:
In this role, you will primarily focus on water and wastewater design engineering and construction projects such as treatment plant upgrades, storage facilities, stormwater systems, pump stations, and distribution/collection systems. Your responsibilities will include producing design calculations, technical reports, permitting documentation, and detailed engineering plans and specifications. In this role, you will:
Develop design calculations, technical reports, permitting, and detailed engineering plans and specifications for water and wastewater projects. Conduct structural investigations and planning, preparing comprehensive engineering and construction documentation, bid packages, and cost estimates. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and subcontractors, supporting project execution across all phases. Research alternative design solutions, assessing feasibility based on site conditions and regulatory requirements. Travel (up to 25%) to support project needs.Key skills and attributes for this role include strong structural analysis and design expertise, with proficiency in STAAD Pro and other structural software. The ideal candidate will possess excellent oral and written communication skills, including public speaking, technical documentation, and teamwork, along with prior experience engaging with clients. A proven ability to prepare, review, and approve project drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates is essential, as is functional knowledge of AutoCAD/REVIT and MS Office applications. Additionally, a thorough understanding of building codes and standards such as IBC and ACI is required.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Structural, Civil Engineering or a related field of study 5 years of experience EIT certificationPreferred Qualifications:

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $60,200 - $132,000. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project, and location.
