Job Title: Structural Engineer

Location: Johannesburg, South Africa

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Engineer to join our client’s team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will be a professional registered engineer with a strong background in structural engineering and a passion for delivering high-quality and innovative solutions to clients. You will be responsible for structural design of concrete and steel structures and buildings according to SANS design codes.

Responsibilities:

Designing and coordinating the construction of various structural projects, including buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure Conducting site inspections and assessments to ensure the structural integrity and safety of existing structures Developing engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations Collaborating with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met Providing technical support and guidance to junior engineers and project teams Staying current on industry trends and best practices in structural engineering

Qualifications:

Professional registration as a Structural Engineer in South Africa Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering Strong knowledge of relevant software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, Prokon Design Software, PADDS and Probar 2 Intermediate knowlegde of ROBOT, Prokon Sumo and BIM Understanding of SANS codes Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Experience working on a variety of project types and sizes
