Structural Engineer
Job Title: Lead Structural EngineerJob Description We are seeking a highly experienced structural engineer with over 10 years of experience to lead our structural engineering projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing plant site layouts and designing various structural buildings and structures at the client site. This role involves working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including other engineers and suppliers, to coordinate the design process. Responsibilities + Develop and implement risk-informed performance-based (RIPB) design criteria. + Assist other teams in performing risk and hazard assessments, including probabilistic risk assessment (PRA), failure modes effects analysis (FMEA), and hazard and operability analysis (HAZOP). + Plan, monitor, and direct the complete engineering efforts throughout the project life cycles. + Work with construction teams to evaluate constructability, sequencing, material take-off, cost estimation, schedule development, and modularization concepts for the plant. Essential Skills + Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering. + 10+ years of structural engineering experience. + Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Civil 3D. + Strong understanding of civil engineering fundamentals, including mechanics, materials, and construction techniques. + Knowledge of construction methods, codes, and standards. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Professional Engineer (PE) license is strongly preferred. + Experience with site development, preparation, grading, roadway, survey, and soil mechanics is preferred. + Familiarity with civil design software packages such as InRoads and L-pile is a plus. + Proficiency in Python is beneficial. Work Environment This position requires working in the office five days a week in Rockville, MD. The work environment is dynamic, with a focus on the development of cutting-edge clean energy systems. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $54.81 - $75.96/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
