Job Description: Structural Design Engineer
Location: Kempton Park, Johannesburg, South Africa

Position Overview:
Hire Resolve is seeking an experienced Structural Design Engineer to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing and steel design, with clearvu fencing experience or similiar, and possess the technical skills required to contribute effectively to a fast-paced, international market environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Manufacturing and Steel Design: Develop and implement structural designs for steel and clear view fencing projects. Design Responsibilities: Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, and SolidWorks to create detailed structural designs. Project Management: Oversee and manage design projects from initial concept through to completion, ensuring all specifications are met and deadlines are adhered to. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with other engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. Problem-Solving: Address design and technical challenges, providing innovative solutions to meet project requirements. Quality Control: Ensure all designs and projects comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and client specifications.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering. Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in structural design, with a focus on manufacturing or steel projects. Software Proficiency: Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and SolidWorks. Industry Experience: Preferably from a manufacturing background. Other Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.

Special Requirements:

Candidates should have experience with manufacturing, steel designs, and clearvu fencing projects. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling international markets and tight deadlines. Open to relocation candidates but preference given to those currently residing in Johannesburg.

Language & Demographic Preferences:

Languages: Fluent in English. Demographic: Preference for candidates who are white, older than 40 years, and male, though the client is open to other applicants.

Work Schedule & Flexibility:

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Remote Work: This position is based in Kempton Park, Johannesburg, and is not open to remote or hybrid work.

Salary is market-related and based on the candidate’s experience. Additional benefits will be discussed during the interview process.
