Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Structural/Blast Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to be responsible for reviewing drawings and information and applying technical support in the areas of structural engineering and scientific planning or related areas.
What You'll Be Doing:
Provides independent, timely and professional structural engineering support, services and consultation for the planning, design,construction, and maintenance of facilities.Performs technical reviews of project drawings to determine security impacts and assess compliance with construction standards.Typical projects will involve: calculation of environmental and blast loads; analysis and design of vertical and lateral force resisting
system, shallow and deep foundations, retaining structures, and utility supports; and design of structural elements using common
building materials (concrete, steel and timber).Assists in developing reports on structural and compliance with engineering standards.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in structural engineering from an accredited institution.Minimum of 12+ years of experience as a structural engineer.Knowledge and experience with FEBR doors, glazing systems, progressive collapse and the design, construction, and installationmethods for these systems.Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.Ability to make oral presentations of proposed designs and results of studies.Demonstrated experience performing technical reviews, quality control, and project management on building projects from planning
and programming through construction.Must have a current Top Secret personnel security clearance and the ability to maintain such clearance throughout the life of the
