Pay Rate: $87.54 - $110.88 per hour

Location: Tukwila, WA 98168
Schedule: Full-time; Consultant (12 Months), Monday to Friday, 1st Shift (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

Position Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Structural Analysis Engineer 5 to support advanced aerospace structural projects. This role is responsible for planning and organizing structural analysis work at the program level to ensure compliance with stability, safety, and regulatory requirements. The selected candidate will play a key role in structural integrity verification, certification processes, and structural performance assessments using finite element modeling (FEM) and classical hand analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, organize, and execute structural analysis work to ensure compliance with structural integrity and stability requirements.

Develop, integrate, and document complex structural requirements to establish system designs.

Coordinate with cross-functional engineering teams to define the product environment and structural constraints.

Guide product design and verify structural integrity through analytical methods, finite element modeling (FEM), and simulations.

Develop test plans, configure test environments, support test execution, and analyze/report test results.

Define and document certification results for regulatory agencies and customers.

Develop analytical processes and tools to improve engineering efficiency, quality, and effectiveness.

Investigate and integrate emerging technologies to develop future aerospace product designs.

Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and certification requirements for commercial and military applications.

Maintain regular and predictable attendance while working under consultative direction in a non-managerial, non-leadership role.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

14+ years of related experience in structural analysis and aircraft stress analysis.

Classical hand analysis experience for primary aircraft structures.

Finite Element Modeling (FEM) experience, including structural simulations.

Experience in integrated design and layout development.

Strong background in aerospace stress analysis and structural engineering.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Experience working with structures and analysis tools.

Primary Aircraft Structure experience, with expertise in commercial and military applications (737, 747, 757, 777 programs).

Ability to work in a fast-paced aerospace engineering environment.

Experience with aerospace certification processes and regulatory compliance.

Education & Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry from an accredited course of study.

ABET accreditation is preferred but not required.

14+ years of related work experience, OR

Master’s degree + 12 years of experience, OR

PhD + 9 years of experience.
