Date Posted: Country: Canada Location: LOC13049 1400 South Service Road West,Oakville,Ontario,L6L 5Y7,Canada Position Role Type: Unspecified Stress Engineering Intern (16 months) Summary Working in a team-oriented environment, the Stress Engineering Intern Student will assist in the strength and fatigue analysis of Landing Gear and Flight Control Systems. Reporting to the Stress Lead of Regional Aircraft, the Stress Engineering Intern Student will support all active programs within the Stress Engineering Group. Primary Responsibilities: Conduct Strength and Fatigue analysis using classical calculations and FEA methods. Analyze structural updates and repairs for landing gear and flight control structural components for design and test. Preparation and updating of Stress and Fatigue Analysis Reports. Support landing gear tests through preparation of requirements documents. Maintain Stress RRE and MRB logs. Update and analyze landing gear internal loads models. Perform various stress analysis tasks as assigned. Basic Qualifications: + Successful completion of three years of a four year University Bachelor’s program in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering. Knowledge in the fields of Solid Mechanics, Stress Analysis, Aerospace Materials, and Computer Programming are required to perform effectively in this position. Since this position will require interaction with other engineers in the Stress Group, and engineers from other disciplines, an individual with excellent communication skills is required. + Strong knowledge of MS Office programs, including Word and Excel. Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis and CATIA is a definite asset. + Successful candidates must meet all requirements under ITAR and CGD as well as be eligible to work in Canada.
